Ход мероприятия

English teacher: Dear pupils and guests! Our extracurricular activity today is devoted to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The main aims are to know more about our grandfathers, about their military participation in the Great Patriotic War, about their exploits and awards and to cultivate in our hearts feelings of love and respect for our Motherland, for the people who fought for our freedom and independence

1 Host: What anniversary of the Victory are we celebrating this year?

2 Host: When will we celebrate it?

1 Host: The theme of our activity is I remember! I’m proud!

(Звучит отрывок из песни «Вечный огонь» («От героев былых времен»), музыка Рафаила Хозак, слова Евгения Аграновича)

2 Host: These lines from the famous song to the words of Evgeny Agranovich very accurately reflect the attitude towards the past, without which there is no present and no future. The Great Patriotic War affected almost every family. But the memory of the war is primarily the memory of those who fought the enemy, of the tens of millions who died, of those tortured in concentration camps and in captivity, of those who worked in the rear. 80 years ago, the war entered every home with an unhealed wound and pain. And almost every family can tell their own story.

1 Host: We have been conducting our research work since the fifth grade. We have studied information about the young heroes of Korenovsk, Klara Navalneva, whose name the school bears, and Venera Pavlenko, after whom one of the streets of Korenovsk is named, about I.D.Buvaltsev, the organizer of the underground movement in Korenovsk.

2 Host: When we were in the sixth grade we collected information about the monuments of Korenovsk related to the Great Patriotic War.

1 Host: In grades 7-8, we explored the Krasnodar Territory, studying information about the hero city of Novorossiysk and the cities of military glory Anapa and Tuapse.

2 Host: We were the winners of the school and district marching and singing competition dedicated to the «Great Victory Day».

1 Host: In grades 8-9, we were the members of the school banner group

2 Host: We made excursions to the places of military glory in the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg.

1 Host: We took part in the compaigns «Immortal Regiment», «St. George Ribbon», «Victory Windows», «A veteran lives nearby».

(Демонстрируется видеоролик об исследовательской работе класса с 5 по 9 класс)

2 Host: This year, our research is dedicated to our great-grandfathers who fought fearlessly in different sectors of the front. They all had one thing in common – a fervent love for their Homeland, for their country, for their families, for their people!

Учитель и учащиеся рассказывают о важности знать свою историю

The Great Patriotic War is one of the most significant events in the history of Russia and the world. It was a battle for freedom, survival and protection of the native land from fascist aggression. The war, which lasted from 1941 to 1945, brought huge losses and became a test for the entire Soviet people.

The memory of the Great Patriotic War must be alive and permanent. Here are a few reasons why this is so important:

  1. 14 Pupil: Respect for heroes and victims. The Great Patriotic War claimed millions of lives and left deep wounds in the hearts of many families. To remember and honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of our country is a manifestation of respect and recognition of their feat.
  2. 15 Pupil: Preventing the repetition of mistakes. Studying and understanding the historical facts and causes of the war helps us avoid repeating the mistakes that led to the outbreak of this conflict. The lessons of the past help us build a peaceful future and preserve peace and stability.
  3. 16 Pupil: Formation of patriotic values. The memory of the Great Patriotic War contributes to the formation of patriotic feelings and pride in their country. It helps us realize that our freedom and well-being are expensive, and we must value them, as well as cherish the achievements and historical heritage of our people.
  4. 17 Pupil: Strengthening national unity. The Great Patriotic War united the Soviet people in the struggle against fascism. The memory of the unity and solidarity of the people in difficult times helps to strengthen our national unity and the consciousness that together we are strong and invincible.
  5. 18 Pupil: Historical heritage and education. Studying the history of the Great Patriotic War allows us to better understand the complexity and scale of this conflict, as well as its impact on the modern world. This helps to form a broad outlook and understanding of historical processes.

You did a great and useful work not only for yourselves but for everyone here! I think you can rightfully say:

I REMEMBER! I’M PROUD!

English teacher: Now, pupils stand up, please. A minute of silence as a gesture of respect for those who  died at this terrible war, gave their lives for our Motherland.

(Минута молчания)

At the end let’s sing a famous song “The Day of Victory” to honor all people who were killed and who survived in fighting for our freedom and independence, to honor your grandmothers and grandfathers, your great-grandparents!
