Тема урока – Spotlight on Russia 6. Московский Кремль.

Цель урока –  создание ситуации, способствующей психологической готовности детей к речевому общению, а также для отработки навыков поискового чтения,  говорения на английском языке  через изучение достопримечательностей Московского Кремля. 

Задачи урока 

  • обучающие

– ознакомить учащихся с новой лексикой по теме «Московский Кремль»;

– научить обучающихся находить нужную информацию в прочитанном тексте;

– ознакомить учащихся с  историей страны (новой информацией о Кремле); 

– научить обучающихся составлять монологические высказывания на основе имеющихся данных;

– научить использовать фоновые знания и межпредметные связи.

2)развивающие:

– отработать употребление новой  лексики и грамматических структур в устной и письменной речи учащихся, навыки поискового чтения;

– совершенствовать навыки устной и письменной речи, навыки аудирования;

–  развивать у школьников умения выделять главное, существенное в изучаемом материале, обобщать, логически излагать свои мысли;

– развивать самостоятельность школьников, используя для этого проблемные ситуации, творческие задания, дискуссии;

– развивать эмоции учащихся, создавать на уроках эмоциональные ситуации удивления, радости, использовать яркие примеры, иллюстрации, воздействующие на чувства ученика;

– развивать познавательный интерес школьников.

3)воспитательные:

– содействовать воспитанию у учащихся чувства патриотизма, уважения к культуре своей страны и странам изучаемого языка.

Тип урока: урок изучения нового.

Планируемые результаты:

Личностные: формирование коммуникативной компетентности по теме «Московский Кремль» в общении и сотрудничестве со сверстниками, формирование ответственного отношения к учению, готовности к саморазвитию и самообразованию; формирование общего представления о мире как о многоязычном и поликультурном сообществе.

Метапредметные: развитие умения планировать свое речевое поведение; развитие коммуникативной компетенции, включая умение взаимодействовать с окружающими, развитие поискового чтения, осуществление регулятивных действий самонаблюдения, самоконтроля, самооценки в процессе коммуникативной деятельности на английском языке, формирование мотивации к изучению иностранного языка.

Предметные: развитие умения систематизировать новые знания и на их основе составлять собственное монологическое высказывание, развитие умения читать тексты с выборочным пониманием значимой, нужной информации.

Применяемые технологии: коммуникативно-ориентированное обучение, системно-деятельностный подход, ИКТ, здоровьесберегающие технологии, игровые элементы.

Средства обучения: учебник для 9 класса «Английский в фокусе», презентация, ноутбук, проектор, аудио и видео материалы, раздаточный материал.

T: Hello, my dear children. I’m Petrik Inna Nikolaevna. I’ am an English teacher of Specialized school number 11. But I’m very happy and glad to start working with you on this lesson. Now let’s start our working. Look at the blackboard.  

  • Warming up

– Here you see the words “Capital city”.  As for me these words are associated with the word “Heart”. And what about you? What other words are associated from your point of view. (Moscow, streets, squares, monuments, Kremlin, palace, church, river). Let’s go to the blackboard  complete the scheme and translate this words . Well done.

-So pupils, look at the screen and define the topic of our lesson. Watching a video.

– Have you understood  what the topic of our lesson is?

– Thank you! You are right! The topic of our lesson is “Moscow”. And what is the heart of Moscow? 

– Sure, the Moscow City is the main part of our country. The Kremlin is the heart of Moscow. 

-And what we are going to do at our lesson? (work with new words, listen to the text, read the text, work with dialogues .)

-Now pupils, imagine that today we’ll have a tour to the heart of Moscow, the Kremlin. I hope that you will learn some more interesting facts about sites of the Kremlin.

There are a lot of sights in the Moscow Kremlin. Now I’ll read them, you have to listen to and repeat after me.

And now I propose you to remember the words which can help you to understand the text. Please, read the words with the meaning of them and translate.

Kremlin – fortress in ancient Russian.

Fortress – walls defending the settlement. 

Well-known –famous.

Palace – a big very beautiful residence for very important persons.

Church – a place where people prayer  and are blessed.

Cathedral – a very big church.

Tower – a construction in the form of tube.

Dome – the roof of any church.

Tsar – monarch, the head of the state.

To be buried – died.

Cannon – a large, hard gun.

5) Next to the square is the white bell tower of Ivan III and at the bottom is the huge Tsar Bell which was made in 1733-35 but has never been rung.

  9. It is  is a minor cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin, commissioned by Patriarch Nikon as part of his stately residence in 1653 and dedicated to Philip the Apostle three years later. (The Cathedral of the Twelve Apostles)
  10. It stands on Metropolitanate Hill, the site of a former monastery that is now home to buildings of religious and historical importance. It was built in 1908 (The Patriarchal Palace).
